About Us

ITE, a community of transportation professionals, is one of the largest and fastest-growing multimodal professional transportation organizations in the world. ITE members are traffic engineers, transportation planners and other professionals who are responsible for meeting society’s needs for safe and efficient surface transportation through planning, designing, implementing, operating and maintaining surface transportation systems worldwide.

Founded in 1930, ITE serves as a gateway to knowledge and advancement through meetings, seminars, and publications, and through our network of more than 15,000 members working in some 90 countries. The organization is divided into 10 districts. Each district is comprised of smaller sections. Some sections have individual chapters as well. Each level of ITE elects their own officers to administer the organizations activities.

The Texas District (also called TexITE) of ITE is a professional organization for individuals in the field of transportation that reside in the state of Texas (although membership is not limited to Texas professionals). Through this organization, transportation professionals strive to help Texans provide a safer, cleaner, and more convenient and efficient transportation system.

The Brazos Valley Section is one of seven sections within the Texas District. Affiliation with the Brazos Valley Section is not limited to transportation professionals with engineering, planning or related degrees. We welcome all persons in the Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Robertson, and Washington counties who are involved in transportation work, pursuing a related degree, engaged in industry or commerce, or are otherwise interested in transportation.

Membership

To be a full voting member of the Brazos Valley Section, you must also be a member of ITE at the international level. In addition to the international and district dues, the annual membership dues for the Brazos Valley Section are $15.00.
