About: Ms. Lilia Gonzales ’94, AIA, LEED AP serves as the University Architect at Texas A&M University. She provides leadership and direction on planning, architecture, landscape architecture, and historic preservation, and ensures that development of and changes to the built environment meet campus standards. In this presentation, Ms. Gonzales will further discuss the role of the Office of the University Architect and one of its current initiatives, the update of the Campus Master Plan. This planning effort has evaluated, among other areas, Texas A&M’s current campus access and circulation along with projected scenarios based on potential growth. Emphasis is placed on the pedestrian experience along with campus gateways, edge conditions, alternate mobility opportunities, future garage locations, and connection to the community.
