Meetings Manual – Section 1

1.0: Purpose

Hosting a TexITE meeting is a challenging and complex task. The purpose of this manual is to serve as a guide to the membership, officers, and local arrangements committees in the preparation for and conduct of the meetings.

The intent is to provide a framework that will ensure completeness in the planning and organization of the meetings and to provide a reasonable degree of consistency and uniformity in the conduct of the meetings.

It is not the intent of this manual to unduly restrict the freedom of the host community to tailor a meeting to take best advantage of its unique opportunities. Accordingly, the Executive Board will approve deviations to the policies set forth in this manual as circumstances warrant.
