Multimodal Transit Tour of DFW Metroplex

transit_tourJoin us on a Transit Technical Tour where you will experience a portion of the largest rail system in the United States. Passengers will ride the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) between Fort Worth and Dallas and hear plans about the new TEXRail line scheduled to be operational by late 2018. You will transfer to DART’s light rail Orange Line and observe the new Orange Line station at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport where we will hear discussions about the pedestrian connection to the planned TEXRail line. The final leg of the tour is followed by a transit connection back to the TRE and then Molly the Trolley to the hotel.

The cost of the tour is $15 and is non-refundable. Transportation will be provided from the Hilton Hotel. Molly the Trolley will take off from the front of the hotel promptly at 1:15 pm and is scheduled to return to the hotel by 4:30 pm. Space is limited to 20 people.

Modern Roundabouts Tour

roundabout_tourJoin us for a Roundabout Tour of Fort Worth – Roundabouts with flair and innovation! Participants will visit seven multi-lane roundabouts in Fort Worth. The roundabouts have a various design and geometric constraints, special user’s considerations, and different forms of central island landscaping to enhance visibility. Included with the Tour will be a discussion of Fort Worth’s roundabout history, implementation strategy, and lessons learned.

The cost of the tour is $25 and includes a three-hour guided tour with strategic field stops to view and observe operations at key roundabout locations. This cost is non-refundable. The tour will depart from the Hilton Fort Worth at 1:00 PM. Space is limited to 35 people.

Trinity River Vision Kayak Tour

kayak_tourJoin us for a Trinity River Vision kayak adventure – a unique way to explore Fort Worth! Take a paddle up the Clear or West Forks of the Trinity River and discover Fort Worth from a new vantage point. Paddling can be a relaxing way to explore new waterways or an invigorating workout which makes it great for everyone. The portion of the Trinity River is calm and safe which makes it perfect for a laid back two-hour kayak journey.

The cost of the tour is $35 and includes two hours of kayak rental, paddles, life jackets and narrative guidance from TRV personnel. This cost is non-refundable. Space is limited to the first 25 people, so sign up soon. There are several transportation options from the Hilton to the launch point, Panther Island Pavilion. If you would like to travel to Panther Island Pavilion with the group via Molly the Trolley, we will meet in the Hilton Lobby at 1:00 PM. The Pavilion is a 15-minute walk from the Hilton or 8 minute walk from the 2nd street/Worthington stop via Molly the Trolley (free from the Hilton).
