Community Services Committee

GFW TexITE supports assisting organizations in the community.   Our next function on September 2, 2009 will be a cookout served by GFW TexITE members to children associated with Safe Haven Tarrant County.   Mamie Anding currently serves as chair of this committee.

Membership Committee

The GFW Section currently has 70 members.  The co-chairs are Mark Mathis with the City of Fort Worth and Mitzi Ward of the North Central Texas Council of Governments.  The committee's goal is to increase membership for the Section.

Current members enjoy a free lunch when they invite a guest that joins TexITE.

Engineering Outreach Committee

The engineering outreach committee works with local middle and high schools to promote engineering and science as a career choice.

The committee has worked with the William James Middle School in the Fort Worth ISD since 2002.

The section provides both financial support and members' time to classroom/school events.
