Congratulations to Marcus Brewer. At the Summer Meeting in San Antonio, Marcus received the TexITE 2008 Younger Member of the Year award.
The Texas A&M student chapter was awarded the oustanding student chapter of the year for the Texas District.
Jon Re, Texas A&M student, was named outstanding A&M student of the year and his paper won the outstanding paper of the year for the Texas District.
Gary Thomas was elected International Director for the Texas District. His 3-year term begins January 1, 2009. |

The purpose of the Brazos Valley Section shall be to enable engineers and other professionals with knowledge and competence in transportation and traffic engineering to contribute individually and collectively toward meeting human needs for personal mobility, goods movement and safety, and to promote professional development, public awareness, exchange of professional information, and maintenance of a central point of reference and action. |
